A compact model, the Collings 01 is a 0-sized acoustic, made with the ever-classic pairing of spruce/mahogany. It sounds great with a tamed low-end but a even balance and comes with a deluxe hardcase.
“As one of our smallest offerings, the 14-fret 0 can double as both a travel instrument or small OM-style guitar, equally at home on a couch or a stage. While it has less low end response than larger models, it provides a uniquely round, punchy tone with the oft-coveted “small body character”, along with impressive volume and headroom. The same neck and wood options offered with larger Collings models are available on the 0, as well, giving players a variety of tonal and aesthetic choices.
Our 1-style (01) features Honduran mahogany back and sides with tortoise body binding and ebony butt wedge, b/w/b/w top purfling, a walnut backstrip, dot fingerboard inlays, and a simpler 1-style rosette.”
